An Introduction to the Nature of Chemicals
As a verb, the word chemical means “to form or produce by chemical reaction” or “to alter by chemical reaction”. The word can also be defined more specifically as “any chemical substance”. Thus, you can say, “A substance is chemical” or ” Chemistry is chemical”. There are other ways in which the word is defined, but these are two of the most common.
The definition of chemical in science is actually a term that combines both science and art. In the scientific community, chemistry is a process that utilizes various chemicals in order to create a variety of different kinds of living things (including plants and animals). Thus, we have plants and animals, and each of them has developed through the process of evolution over time. In order for this to be possible, however, it is necessary for the various chemical substances to interact with one another in order for the evolution of life to occur.
As an art, chemistry exhibits many artistic representations. The definition of a chemical art item includes any medium in which the representations are created: for example, paintings, prints, sculptures, collages, or computer-generated images. Artistic chemistry is, in fact, one of the most popular applications of chemistry in contemporary art. There are several different kinds of art forms: contemporary art, environmental art, and decorative art. The most popular mediums for making art are still photographs, still-life, paintings, and video. In some cases, even a piece of jewelry can be considered a piece of art.
The chemical bonds that make up atoms and molecules are composed of positive and negative charges, just as they are in everything around us. Neutrons, protons, and electrons all combine in pairs to form an atom or a proton. Atoms and molecules can be made of carbon, oxygen, silicon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur, or a number of different other elements. All the different types of atoms can be combined in countless combinations to create new compounds, or atoms and molecules, of various different chemical elements.
Molecules are individual atoms of different elements held together by chemical bonding. Hydrogen, for example, contains two electrons, one that is positive and one that is negative, while oxygen combines with carbon to form water. All the different kinds of chemical elements can be combined in various proportions to create new compounds. When some of these new chemicals bond with others in molecular interactions, new substances are created.
A compound is anything that has more than one atom and chemical element. For instance, the substance that constitutes sugar is, in fact, three different compounds – fructose, glucose, and lactose. These sugars can be formed by the action of an enzyme. Each particular compound can be defined in terms of only one or a set of the many thousands of different chemical elements that constitute the entire world. In order to learn how to define a specific compound, it would be necessary to know the names of all of the individual atoms and elements that make up that compound.
There are different theories of how the world works. Some folks would like to relegate the explanation of nature and chemistry to “principles” while others believe that the laws of physics govern the chemical reactions that take place in nature. One way to understand the difference is to see if the theory can be tested. If a test can be made, then we know for certain what defines a chemical reaction.

Each and every atom and molecule in the entire universe is comprised of chemical bonds, which are held together by the interaction of electrically bonded atoms and their respective phosphorous and hydroxyl molecules. In order to create new compounds, there must be a continual exchange of chemical building blocks.
